Terms of Use / Distance Contract

1. General provisions

1.1. These Terms of Use and Purchase (hereinafter – Terms) set out the procedure under which SIA Lawood Base (hereinafter – Seller) sells goods through the online store Lawood.lv, as well as the rights and obligations of the Buyer and the Seller.

1.2. Before placing an order, the Buyer must familiarise themselves with these Terms, the information about the particular product, its price, delivery and payment conditions, as well as information regarding the right of withdrawal and remedies for non-conformity of goods.

1.3. By placing an order in the online store, the Buyer confirms that they have read and agree to these Terms.

1.4. The Terms may be amended if necessary to ensure the operation of the online store or if applicable legislation changes. The version of the Terms in force at the time the order is placed shall apply to the Buyer.

3. Products and product information

3.1. Information about each product is provided in the online store, including its description, images, price, availability, size, contents and other relevant information, where applicable.

3.2. Product images are intended to provide a visual representation of the product. The actual colour of a product may differ slightly from the colour shown in the image depending on the settings of the device used by the Buyer.

3.3. If actual measurements of a specific product are provided in the product description, these measurements have been taken from the specific product in the Seller's possession and may differ from measurements provided by the manufacturer.

3.4. Unless otherwise stated in the product description, the product is new.

3.5. If a used product is offered for sale, its condition and any significant defects known to the Seller are indicated in the product description.

4. Prices

4.1. Prices shown in the online store are final prices including applicable VAT, unless otherwise stated.

4.2. The price applicable to the Buyer is the price shown in the online store at the time the order is placed.

4.3. Delivery costs depend on the selected delivery method and are shown during the ordering process.

4.4. The Seller has the right to change product prices. Price changes do not apply to orders that have already been confirmed.

5. Placing an order

5.1. The Buyer places an order by selecting the product, required size and quantity, adding the product to the shopping cart and providing the information required to place the order.

5.2. Before confirming the order, the Buyer must carefully check the selected products, quantity, contact details, delivery information, selected payment method and total order amount.

5.3. After placing the order, order information is sent to the email address provided by the Buyer.

5.4. If payment by invoice is selected, the invoice is sent automatically after the order is placed.

5.5. If the order email has not been received, the Buyer should also check the SPAM / Junk folder.

5.6. If the order cannot be fulfilled for objective reasons, the Seller informs the Buyer and, where necessary, cancels the order. If the Buyer has already paid for the order, the amount paid will be refunded.

6. Distance contract

6.1. If the Buyer is a consumer and the order is placed through the online store, the contract is concluded as a distance contract in accordance with the laws and regulations of the Republic of Latvia.

6.2. Before concluding a distance contract, the Buyer is provided with the opportunity to review information about the product, its price, payment, delivery, right of withdrawal and other essential contractual conditions.

6.3. After placing the order, the Buyer receives the order information electronically at the email address provided by the Buyer.

7. Payment

7.1. The Buyer selects a payment method available in the online store at the time of placing the order.

7.2. The following payment methods may be available in the online store:

• 🏦 internet banking payment;
• 💳 payment card;
• 🏪 payment at the store;
• 💰 instalment/financing options, if available for the particular order.

7.3. If payment by invoice is selected, the invoice is sent automatically after the order is placed.

7.4. The payment period for an invoice, including an advance invoice, is 2 business days. If the invoice is not paid within the specified period, the order is cancelled.

7.5. If a payment has failed or the Buyer is unsure whether the payment has been received, the Buyer should not make another payment before the status of the previous payment has been clarified. In such cases, please contact Lawood.

8. Delivery and order collection

8.1. During the ordering process, the Buyer selects one of the delivery or collection methods available at that time.

8.2. Delivery costs and available options are shown during the ordering process.

8.3. Orders to delivery points are generally dispatched within 1–2 business days, while the actual delivery time depends on the selected delivery service provider.

8.4. Orders can also be collected from the Lawood store in Jaunolaine.

8.5. To collect an order from the store, after receiving confirmation, the Buyer must arrange a suitable arrival time by calling +371 20577992.

9. Right of withdrawal

9.1. In the case of a distance contract, a consumer has the right, in the cases and within the period specified by law, to exercise the right of withdrawal without giving a reason.

9.2. Detailed information about the procedure, deadlines, exceptions and return of goods is provided in the separate “Right of Withdrawal” section.

9.3. The right of withdrawal applies to consumers in accordance with applicable laws and regulations.

10. Non-conformity and warranty

10.1. The Seller is responsible for the non-conformity of goods with the contract in accordance with applicable laws and regulations.

10.2. A consumer may submit a claim regarding non-conformity of goods within two years from the date of delivery of the goods.

10.3. If the manufacturer provides a commercial warranty for a particular product, its terms and duration are specified in the relevant warranty document.

10.4. For used products, the condition of the product and significant defects known to the Seller are indicated in the product description. If the Buyer has been properly informed about a particular defect before purchase, the Seller cannot automatically be held responsible for that known defect as a non-conformity discovered later.

11. Buyer's rights and obligations

11.1. The Buyer has the right to purchase goods in accordance with these Terms and applicable laws and regulations.

11.2. The Buyer must provide true and complete information required to fulfil the order.

11.3. Before placing an order, the Buyer must familiarise themselves with the product description and other important information about the product.

11.4. The Buyer must pay for the ordered goods using the selected payment method and accept the order.

11.5. Upon receiving the goods, the Buyer is advised to check whether the goods correspond to the order and whether there are any visible defects.

12. Seller's rights and obligations

12.1. The Seller undertakes to provide the Buyer with material and accurate information about the products, their prices, availability, payment and delivery.

12.2. The Seller undertakes to process and fulfil orders in accordance with the order conditions and applicable laws and regulations.

12.3. If it is necessary to clarify information provided by the Buyer in order to fulfil the order, the Seller has the right to contact the Buyer using the contact details provided in the order.

12.4. If an ordered product cannot be delivered or sold for objective reasons, the Seller informs the Buyer and, where necessary, cancels the order.

13. Personal data processing

13.1. The Buyer's personal data is processed in accordance with Lawood's Privacy Policy.

13.2. Personal data is processed for order processing and fulfilment, communication with the Buyer, compliance with legal obligations and other purposes specified in the Privacy Policy.

14. Complaints and dispute resolution

14.1. If the Buyer has questions, complaints or claims regarding a product, order or its fulfilment, we encourage the Buyer to contact the Seller first.

14.2. The Seller reviews received complaints and provides a response in accordance with applicable laws and regulations.

14.3. If a dispute cannot be resolved mutually, the consumer has the right to use the out-of-court dispute resolution mechanisms provided by law, including contacting the competent consumer protection authority or another appropriate dispute resolution body.

14.4. Information about out-of-court dispute resolution options is available from the Consumer Rights Protection Centre of Latvia (PTAC).

15. Entry into force

15.1. These Terms enter into force upon publication in the Lawood.lv online store.

15.2. If any provision of these Terms is declared invalid, this does not affect the validity of the remaining provisions.

15.3. The version of the Terms applicable to the Buyer's order is the version in force at the time the order was placed.
